2006 with The Tigerwrights

Happy Holidays!  Well, the years certainly continue to zing by at warp speed now don’t they?  2006 was a year filled with amazing accomplishments, lots of travel and an abundance of family fun.

As far as vacations, we did two cruises this year.  Our first adventure was a Caribbean cruise through the Florida Keys, Mexico, and Belize.  We met some great people, saw some old friends and got plenty of sun and R&R.  In July, we went on an amazing Alaskan cruise through the Inside Passage.  Hubbard Glacier was truly spectacular! J

Mary did a lot of work related travel this year, spending about 6 months in total, meeting customers and recruiting new members for her expanding team.  It has been an exciting year of growth with a lot of hard work and long hours.  We sure missed her around here but found plenty to keep ourselves busy.  Jelly and Jam (the indoor kids) entertain me daily with various antics, such as stealing items from my desk, chewing on plants and occasionally snoring in their little beds.  Maddy and Fox (the outdoor kids) are really great helpers when it comes to landscaping projects.  I’ve learned they can pretty much nap anywhere – dirt, rocks, grass, flagstone – nothing seems to interrupt their “zzzzz’s”!  And we’ve definitely had a few projects going on around the Tigerwright property.

We finally built our new shop – it turned out perfect, just the way we had imagined.  We built a 30x50 building with a special room for Maddy and Fox - complete with kitty ramps, window ledges and an attached outdoor enclosed kitty run.  They are spoiled rotten and love their new digs!

Of course once the new shop was finished, we needed to landscape around the building and tie everything together.  We’d planned to do something really basic and low maintenance… well… you know how that goes around here!  Creativity took over and the next thing I knew, I was out digging a new dry stream bed to flow along and appear to tie into our existing pond and waterfall area.

You may be wondering - how do we find the time to partake in all of this landscaping fun?  Well… it just so happens that I finished my classes in August!  After 5 long years of night school, I finally completed my degree and graduated with honors!  It took a couple of months for me to get out of my “student mindset” and beautifying our property was a perfectly cathartic way to transition back into normal life!

I’ve been designing my graduation present for a couple of years now.  It took some time to dial in the exact package, but I had a pretty good idea it would be a “pony” of sorts to live in that brand new “stable” we just built.  A “pony” indeed did arrive!  In the form of a brand new 2007 Roush 427R custom Mustang to be exact!  Wooweeee!  This street legal, race car is a beautiful piece of retro-American muscle car machinery, fer sure! ;)

That’s our news for now; check our website throughout the year for our latest adventures.  We hope this Holiday finds you happy, healthy, prosperous, joyous and living every single moment to the absolute fullest…

All our love to you, The Tigerwright Family,
